Mertju Buana Group is determined to be a strong economic force for national development. It will be our pride to be considered as one of the major players in Indonesian economic growth. We will continue to strengthen our operations through a more focused company management in order to achieve specific targets.
We believe that by focusing on specific targets company resources can be used effectively and efficiently. Specialisation can develop as a result of focusing our aims on more specific targets. Although the company looks leaner it is by no means weaker. It is now, in fact, in a much healthier position than before. As we are stronger the group can begin to walk forward towards expansion.
In the main, we focus in only three industries namely property, agribusiness, and mining. Although agribusiness and mining are, currently, extremely competitive industries, the increased in wealth enjoyed by the players (as a result of increased prices) mean that there is a new demand for higher standard of living and hence property. In addition, the upward pressure on the price of oil tends to bring a parallel pressure on the prices of mined products and strategic agricultural produce. Due to increasing demand from the major emerging markets it does not look as if the prices of oil will ease significantly. Therefore we believe that focusing on these three
complimentary industries is the best way to move forward.
